Blessings of Qurbani 2022 – Report

10th July 2022

As the blessed occasion of Eid al-Adha dawns upon us, Minhaj Interfaith & Welfare Foundation (MIWF) extends its warmest wishes to you and your loved ones. May this auspicious day be filled with blessings, joy, and the acceptance of your prayers and worship by the Almighty. For those who have just completed the sacred pilgrimage of Hajj, we fervently pray that Allah accepts their journey and bestows His divine mercy upon them. Aameen!

For the past six years, MIWF has been carrying out a noble and essential program during Eid-ul-Adha, known as the Qurbani Helpfeed campaign. This initiative is a testament to MIWF's unwavering commitment to serving the underprivileged and those in dire need across the poorest regions of India. .

The 2022 Qurbani Helpfeed campaign commenced on the 1st of Zil Hajj, and the response from our generous donors was overwhelming. In total, 615 Qurbani shares were booked, reflecting the compassion and generosity of our supporters. These donations would form the cornerstone of MIWF's mission to bring hope and sustenance to those living in remote and marginalized areas

The heart of MIWF's Qurbani campaign beat in West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand, where the need is often most acute. In these regions, the meat from the Qurbani sacrifices would make a tangible difference in the lives of approximately 39,000 individuals who are struggling to meet their daily nutritional needs.

The distribution of Qurbani meat took place in various locations, including Rajouli and Tithouri in Bihar, Kasabgola in West Bengal, and Giridhi in Jharkhand. These areas were carefully selected to maximize the impact of our campaign, reaching those who needed it the most.

Rafeeq Ahmed Khan, the President of MIWF, emphasized the core objective of the Qurbani 2022 campaign. He stated that the aim was to fulfill the obligation of Qurbani in remote and underserved regions, ensuring that farmers and impoverished families in rural villages received the maximum benefit from our campaign.

Through the collective efforts of MIWF and the support of our compassionate donors and volunteers, the Qurbani 2022 Helpfeed campaign was able to make a meaningful impact on the lives of approximately 39,000 people. It brought not only sustenance but also hope and a sense of solidarity to those who needed it most.

Najam Syed, the President of MQII West Bengal and Manager of the Qurbani project, shed light on the challenging circumstances faced by many villagers in these regions. Recent storms and flooding had left many without proper shelter and in dire need. MIWF's dedicated team of volunteers had tirelessly worked for a month to identify low-income families and ensure that they received the much-needed support.

As we express our heartfelt gratitude to our donors and volunteers for their unwavering support, we offer our prayers that the Almighty accepts our sacrifice and continues to guide us in our mission to serve humanity. May the spirit of compassion and giving that defines Eid al-Adha inspire us all to make a positive difference in the world, one act of kindness at a time.
